The Lone Star Art Guild (LSAG) is a volunteer operated organization that offers independent, qualifying art leagues an opportunity to connect and compete with one another both virtually and in person and at a local and regional level. With different skill divisions and multiple media categories, artists compete on a peer-to-peer level. All artists are encouraged to enter an LSAG-sanctioned show hosted by any member league. As well as belonging to LSAG you can enter more than one show in a given year.
The Lone Star Art Guild started in Brenham, Texas, in April 1961. The purpose of the association is to provide annual exhibits/competitions featuring award-winning artists and their artwork. Since their early days nearly 60 years ago, they have grown to include many art leagues within a 200-mile radius of Houston. The Membership-based leagues encourage artists of every level from elementary students to professionals--unique in the art world. LSAG is a non-profit organization as are the art leagues that belong to this guild.
As a member of the Tomball Art League, you are welcome to participate in the activities of other LSAG leagues. This can include Open shows, artist demonstrations, workshops and classes.
